The song, Be Grateful, by Walter Hawkins, expresses the eloquence of being grateful, being appreciative, and knowing that when all is said and done, “God is in charge!”

For that, I am grateful for this brand new day—brand new hour that allows me to feel the sunshine beam deeply across the landscape. As I look out my kitchen bay window, I contemplate the forested scenery—it is oh surreal. Only God could imagine and create this awesome beauty. All around are hints of his wonders, a simple stroke for God, but for man—he exhaust his energy in his attempts to design a world that is control by technology, power, and greed. However, God’s technology never fails—his power outages are by his design. When he declared: “Let there be light!” And, there was light!

What an awesome God. Today, I choose to be grateful to God for my children, my life, my health and strength—friends—family—each breath that allows me to have the courage to maintain a state of peace, love, and happiness that is maintained by God.

Enjoy Ledisi as she masterfully sings, Hawkins, Be Grateful. If you are willing to share anything you are grateful for, please do or any other thoughts!

Have a beautiful day! Deborah
